Call for papers for Swansea conference on ‘Understanding the migrant experience’
This conference organised by Swansea University will provide an opportunity for postgraduate students researching migration and the experiences of migrants to explore the seminar themes in more detail and to showcase their work.
Additionally, but by no means less important, the conference will contribute to broader academic and policy discussions, increasing awareness and understanding of the migrant experience and its importance in policy making and political debates.
Papers on all aspects of the migrant experience are invited from postgraduate students at all stages of their research and across all academic disciplines. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly welcome. The conference themes are:
The deadline for abstracts is 30th April 2012. Proposals should be in the form of a Word document and should include the title of your proposed paper and full contact details. Please send your proposal to migration@swansea.ac.uk
