Major Gifts & Partnerships Officer

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, you'll help develop and implement an effective plan to solicit substantial gifts from new and existing supporters and companies. You'll also manage a range of relationships as you seek to maximise major donor and corporate giving.

Our Fundraising Team is at the heart of everything we do. Indeed, the income they generate is vital to our future success.
As Major Gifts and Partnerships Officer you will:
  • Build the loyalty of existing supporters through devising and executing a strategic donor stewardship plan that will increase our income
  • Develop new and existing networks to raise our profile and secure additional funds
  • Create and maintain a range of new corporate partnerships and affinity products that focus on maximising value for Refugee Action
  • Carry out research to identify potential philanthropists and corporate partners
  • Put together inspirational funding proposals and project reports
  • Run a range of events to secure new funds and cultivate relationships with corporate partners and high value donors
You will need:
  • A good knowledge of the principles of major donor fundraising
  • Experience of developing and implementing sophisticated major donor/partnership programmes and managing a range of corporate partnerships
  • Some experience of organising events or similar project management experience
  • A flair for relationship management and influencing high level individuals
  • An insight into the needs, experiences and hopes of refugees and asylum seekers
  • Knowledge of using databases for effective marketing and good planning and research skills
  • The ability to set up and maintain effective admin systems and procedures
This role can be based at any of the following locations:

Salary: £28,635 plus £3,300 ILW if based in London SW1
